The Rowley Museum will be part of Gallery Night, Friday, Oct. 4 from 5-9. We will be featuring photographs from Andy Kraushaar.
As a former archivist and curator for the Wisconsin Historical Society’s photographic collections, Andy Kraushaar is well versed in a variety of photographic methods and techniques. Upon retiring in 2018 he became interested in ornithology and uses digital montage to combine his photographs of birds with images from his large collection of historic photographs. He uses this technique to create new and alternative perspectives to surprise and delight the viewer. His goal is not to diminish the significance of historical photographs but to reinvigorate found images through unexpected juxtapositions.
