The Middleton Area Historical Society (MAHS) depends on volunteer help at the Rowley House Museum to keep our door open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from mid-April through mid-October. If you have an interest in history and in talking with visitors about the Rowley House and Middleton’s past, we would love to have you join our group of volunteer docents.
We ask volunteers to donate at least one half-day per month (from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Tuesdays or 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays) to help keep the museum open. Our volunteer docents are stationed at the front desk to welcome guests as they arrive, and we make certain that 2 or more volunteers are always on site. We provide background information in the form of fact sheets and other materials about Rowley House and Middleton’s history. The Rowley House tour is typically a self-guided visit, so you need not be an expert on local history. We do have a guidebook to Rowley House for our docents to use if they wish to accompany visitors on their tour.
We very much would appreciate your consideration and support. If you are interested in a volunteer opportunity with the Middleton Area Historical Society, please talk with us about your interests. We do prefer that volunteers be at least 16 years of age.
Volunteers can sign up via a signup Genius link. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us, so we can make sure you can receive training.
Thanks from MAHS
